Ethical Business Policy

We recognise the very privileged position we are in as a business, even as a small one, and want to use that position to not only lead by example but also influence others to behave and operate in a way that has a positive impact on the world. As such, The Curiosity Box Ltd will endeavour to conduct its business in a competent, fair, thoughtful and effective manner.

Health & Safety

The Curiosity Box Ltd is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees.  We comply with all necessary health and safety regulations within the work environment and there are regular health and safety audits and training for staff.  The Curiosity Box applies its standards to all visitors to its headquarters.

All our products have been safety tested and comply with the CE and UKCA safety standards for children aged 3+.

Employees

All employees are treated with dignity and respect with equal employment opportunities given to all irrespective of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, maternity, marital status, family status, disability, age or national origin.  Employees are offered a safe and healthy workplace and The Curiosity Box Ltd will not tolerate any form of harassment.

Environment

The Curiosity Box respects the environment and the need to protect it and minimise the impact our operations have on it.  Our ethical values mean that our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable with all our experiments arriving in corn starch bags. We are engaged in sourcing our materials locally and ethically.  We want children to save the world whilst learning about it so there’s no single-use plastic near our STEM boxes.

Customers

At The Curiosity Box Ltd, we will seek to build respectful partnerships with our customers by being always honest and straightforward in our dealings.  The Curiosity Box will respect the confidentiality of any information it may obtain in relation to our customers as outlined in our Privacy Policy.  We will take all reasonable care to avoid any concealment, overstatement, or misleading statements in all of our advertising and public statements.
