Louise Laidler
Motorsport Engineer

I study Motorsport Engineering in order to work in Formula 1 as a Race Engineer.
A race engineer works on really fast cars and tries to make them as fast as possible whilst still being safe. Formula 1 cars can reach speeds of a massive 230 miles per hour!!! That is about 3 times as fast as the fastest speed you can go in your car!
By making the engine work better, the shape of the car more slick, and developing tyres that last as long as possible, engineers play a really important role in giving a Formula 1 racing team the best chance of winning.
So far I have had work experience at Red Bull Racing and Williams Martini Racing.
Louise is our Think & Tinker box champion.
